Utopia Unlimited is a local, non for profit youth theatre group based across the High Peak and Derbyshire Dales. We specialise in rehearsing and performing Gilbert and Sullivan shows alongside Workshops and other creative projects. A big part of our mission is introducing the magic and humour of Gilbert and Sullivan to the youth of today, making these timeless works accessible, fun, and relevant for modern young performers. Our team has decades of combined experience in youth theatre, and our productions are shaped by imagination, inclusivity, and a genuine love of performance.

We meet monthly for rehearsals and socials, giving our young people a place to sing, act, make friends, and explore the world of theatre. Sessions often include group singing, drama activities, and a relaxed social space where members can watch G&S shows and build confidence together. We also run trips to professional productions and host workshops to inspire the next generation. This year we took members to the Gilbert and Sullivan Festival in Buxton to watch Iolanthe, which they absolutely loved.

Utopia is a member-led organisation. Our young people help shape what we do, what we perform, and how we grow. We are proudly inclusive and work hard to create a safe, supportive environment where neurodiverse young people, LGBTQ members, and performers from every background feel welcomed and valued. All staff are fully DBS checked, and registered chaperones are present at every session.
